How does this compare to other time tracking tools?
Most time trackers charge between EUR 9-12 per user per month. For a 30-person team, that adds up to EUR 270-360 per month for what is essentially a stopwatch with reporting. Hourflip does the same for EUR 90 per month —flat pricing, no tiers, and absence management included.
How does the accounting system integration work?
You track time in Hourflip and maintain hourly rates per project or client. At the end of a billing period, Hourflip generates bookings or invoices from your tracked hours. These can then be exported directly to your accounting system —we support Odoo, QuickBooks, BuchhaltungsButler, sevdesk, and lexoffice. Exports include structured data like hours, rates, line items, and project references, ready for import.
Is there a free tier?
Solo users (1 person, no team) can use Hourflip for free with basic time tracking and export. Paid features (teams, absences, API) kick in at EUR 3/user/month.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored in ISO/IEC 27001-certified data centers in Germany (Nuremberg and Falkenstein), operated by Hetzner. These facilities also hold a BSI C5 Type 2 attestation, meeting the highest German standards for cloud security. We don't sell data, run ads, or do anything creepy. US hosting is available as an option for teams that require it. You can export all your data anytime.
